Kansas City At Indianapolis

The Chiefs made the playoffs for the first time since the 2003 season. They needed to beat Jacksonville along with losses by Cincinnati, Tennessee and Denver on Sunday to earn the second AFC wild-card spot in Herman Edwards' first year as coach.
The Chiefs gave up a fourth-round pick to the New York Jets for Edwards. The Jets used that pick on rookie RB Leon Washington.
RB Larry Johnson set an NFL single-season record with 416 carries, eclipsing Jamal Anderson's mark of 410 for Atlanta in 1998. Johnson also broke his own club record with 1,789 rushing yards, 39 more than his total last year. CB Ty Law recorded the 50th interception of his career in the win over Jacksonville. ... The Chiefs will visit Indianapolis in the wild-card round.

Dallas At Seattle

Neither the Seattle Seahawks nor the Dallas Cowboys finished the regular season in impressive fashion, but both teams know they have a chance to create some momentum when their 'new season' begins.
The Seahawks and Cowboys look to put their recent struggles behind them and open the playoffs with a solid victory when they meet at Qwest Field in an NFC wild-card game on Saturday.
Seattle (9-7) won the NFC West for the third straight season, although it was without quarterback Matt Hasselbeck and 2005 NFL MVP Shaun Alexander for much of the season with injuries.
Dallas' season also ended in disappointment, as it too lost three of four, failing to cash in on an opportunity for a first-round bye. The Cowboys got crushed by NFC South champion New Orleans 42-17 on Dec. 10, and with a chance to still win the NFC East title last Sunday, they lost 39-31 at home to lowly Detroit.

Jets at Patriots

The Patriots will host the AFC East rival New York Jets in a wild-card game on Sunday. The teams split two regular-season meetings, with each winning on the road. ... QB Vinny Testaverde threw a six-yard touchdown pass to WR Troy Brown in the fourth quarter. It was his NFL-record 20th straight season with a TD. "I wanted to give it to him.
I think he deserves that," coach Bill Belichick said. ... RB Corey Dillon passed O.J. Simpson for 14th all-time in rushing. He had 67 yards, giving him 11,241 for his career to top Simpson (11,236). Dillon also finished with 13 rushing touchdowns, tying the franchise single-season record set by Curtis Martin in 1995 and 1996.

NY Giants At Philadelphia

Less than two months ago, it seemed the Philadelphia Eagles' playoff hopes were lost and the New York Giants were a favorite to reach the Super Bowl.
Now, Philadelphia is possibly the league's hottest team entering the postseason and New York hardly deserves to be a part of it.
Jeff Garcia and the Eagles look to continue their surprising ride by sending Tiki Barber into retirement and possibly ending Tom
Coughlin's tenure as Giants coach in an NFC wild-card matchup on Sunday.
A funk that lasted into late November saw Philadelphia drop five of six to fall below .500, but more importantly, the team lost star quarterback Donovan McNabb to a season-ending knee injury. Garcia, though, went on to lead the Eagles to four consecutive victories -- he barely played in Week 17 while Philadelphia won a fifth straight -- and a 10-6 record to win the NFC East.
